Q: What sets you apart from other photographers?

A: Well, my first paid job as a photographer was back in 1997 (aging myself here!). That’s more than a few years of collective experience, so I am pretty cozy behind a camera and that carries over to whoever is in front of it! People come back to me over and over because I make the process fun...I really do, I promise. In fact, I think I am utterly hilarious (even if I am not).

Q: Will we get the print release to our photos after our wedding?

A: Yes, you sure will! Why else would you be getting them done, right? You get a the full electronic sharing release, too, because-let’s face it-social media is where most pics wind up these days.

Q: How long does it take to get my pics back?

A: Well I am glad you asked! That is my THING! My contract is going to give me a cushion of two weeks for portrait galleries and six for weddings. But...between you and me...I am super obsessive and you’ll probably get them back in under half that. Nobody wants to wait, and you shouldn’t have to.

Q: Will my photos be posted publicly on your site or social media?

A: Not if you don’t want me to! Model releases are included with the contract to cover my tushy since photographers generally share as a way to show examples of their work. But heres the deal: your privacy and preferences come first. This is your world! I’d love to show off you & your images (if you’re game)! If not, that's okay, too. Just let me know and I will digitally crumple up that model release.

Q: Will you Photoshop my images to hide any unwanted spots, wrinkles, etc?

A: My rule of thumb is this: if it’ll be gone in two weeks, it goes bye-bye. That means pimples, bruises, wild chin hairs, you name it. I won’t alter what makes you YOU unless you want me to. You are BEAUTIFUL! But if you have a *thing* you don’t love and want it gone, let me know. I will see what I can muster up with the ole’ Photoshop

Q: Can I get prints made anywhere?

A: Yes! Your release allows you to take those files and do whatever you want with them. But here’s the deal: don’t order junk. This means no Walgreens or Wal-Mart or anything Wal, PLEASE. The colors will not look right and the quality will be bad, and then I look bad. So let’s do this: you should let me place the order so I can rapid-fire all of the things that I already know work. Then I can present your photo package all pretty with a bow and stuff. If you realllly want to do it on your own, I highly recommend googling some professional print labs online. Order matte paper. Trust me.

Q: What equipment do you use?

A: Oh, boy, I have it all (ok, but I really have a lot). I currently use two cameras (ask anyone you inquire with about this-anyone shooting your special day should 100% have a backup camera!). I currently use a Canon R5 and a Canon R6 MKII. I have about a zillion lenses. My favorites are my 28-70, my 85, and my 70-200. I shoot 99% of my stuff with those 3. I also have some occasional fun with off-camera flash if you want me to break out the big guns.

Q: Do you photograph destination weddings?

A: You betcha! Being an empty nester allows me a bit of freedom to ‘go’, and-honestly-who doesn’t want to travel to beautiful places? Got my passport all shined up and just waiting for your inquiry!

Q: Are the people featured on your site models?

A: No, siree. The people you see are all real life people who actually want me to take their photos! I have occasionally offered a free shoot to a person or people if I have a specific place I am dying to take some pics at, but they aren’t ‘models’, just lucky ducks who get free photos.
